The Willow Doesn't Weep
The Willow Doesn’t Weep is a contemporary blues album rooted in resilience, redemption, and emotional honesty. Featuring an all-female vocal cast, Brazilian TV star Vanessa Jackson on the title track, and America's Got Talent finalist Steve Ray Ladson.
Produced and performed by Julyo (Giulio D’Agostino), the record also includes powerhouse vocal performances from Cheri Moon, Lyia Meta, Anna Paloma, Rachel April, and saxophone player Suzanne Grzanna, with lyrics contributed by Irish poet E.T. Murphy.
The title track was recorded at Dublin's legendary Windmill Lane Studios, and Latin Grammy winner Mariano Beyoglonian mixed the album. Over 80% of the album’s performers are women, highlighting a strong feminine creative energy.
This is a bold, genre-pushing blues album designed to connect deeply with audiences and resonate within the contemporary blues and roots music community.
